Happy Heavenly Birthday Uncle Cami!

I woke up this morning.

I felt myself mourning.

Today is your birthday,

So I will celebrate.

I miss you dearly.

I think of you a lot.

The last time I saw you,

is the few memories I got.

My favorite memory of you,

is when I was a kid.

Anything I wanted,

you gave me or did.

You asked if I could sing,

so I sang you a song.

Your smile was so big.

I really hate that you’re gone.

Only a few memories I have,

that I will cherish forever.

I know you and my dad,

are in heaven together.

I have 2 real uncles,

that other man is too fake.

I know you tried to help us.

There’s only so much you could take.

My last memory with you,

I know he was there.

But you were so happy to see us,

That you didn’t even care.

My dear Uncle Cami,

your last message to me..

It was very loud and clear.

Therefore I will always,

keep your spirit dear and near.

I will celebrate for you,

Regardless of what they say,

The love you gave me was real.

No one could ever take that away.

I know no one is perfect.

Honoring you is worth it.

So today I say thank you.

Yes at times I feel ashamed,

when I think about all the pain.

Yes at times I feel guilty,

but I know your spirit is with me.

I know you know my heart.

It wasn’t me who kept us apart.

The love for your brother was real.

And that’s what helps me heal.

So today I just want to say,

Happy Heavenly Birthday!

I pray for your son, daughter and wife.

Thank you for wanting to be in my life,

The best that you could, I accept.

I refuse to live in regret.

Instead I choose to live in peace,

As you continue watching over me.
